Explore your artistic aspirations with instruction and guidance from Master Printer, Sue Oehme. Our week-long workshops at the OG print studio are limited to four participants, so each student has abundant time on our two presses for monoprinting, drypoint, copper etching, collograph, solar plates, stencils, block printing, and more. Sue will meet with each student to develop a personalized plan for their time in the studio and to produce a cohesive and broad body of work. At the end of the class, we will host a short critique with the group, and any partners or friends are invited to join us.

The workshops run Monday through Friday, 10 am – 4:30 pm and the studio is open for extra unsupervised time to work from 9 am and 4:30 – 7 pm. We clean up on Friday starting at 3:30 pm. Each student is individually guided through learning new platemaking techniques with attention to wiping and color ink mixing. The cost is $1075 per five-day workshop. Your tuition includes all lunches (freshly prepared at our studio, as well as takeout from local restaurants), daily demonstrations and one-on-one time with the Master Printer, five full size sheets of cotton rag printing paper, oil inks and watercolors. Additional plates and paper can be purchased directly from OG. Participants are welcome to bring some of their own supplies and paper as well.

Students are responsible for their own accommodations. The guest bedroom at Oehme Graphics is available for rental for the duration of the workshop on a first come, first served basis. Please contact us for information about special discounted B & B’s or private condos. Steamboat Springs offers a variety of summer activities for your companions and we are happy to make any recommendations.

We also offer private workshops for small groups of friends, as well as families with small children.
