PRINTMAKING BOOTCAMP at Oehme Graphics

August 5th – 9th, 2024

Morning Session: 8:30 AM – 12 PM

Afternoon Session: 1 PM – 4:30 PM

The art of printmaking provides endless space for creativity! Students will learn multiple aspects of printmaking from master printer, Sue Oehme, including etching, woodblock, linocut, and monotypes. The class will be held at Oehme Graphics, where students will learn about the equipment, tools and supplies in a professional printing studio.

The class is offered through the Steamboat Creates “Young At Art” summer program, and well be held at Oehme Graphics’ studio (not at the Art Depot).

Parents and guardians are asked to drop off and pick up their children from the class location:

Price: $175 + $35 materials fee and $30 facilities fee, $240 total. Spots are limited!

*Teacher: Susan Hover Oehme, Master Printer, received her BFA in printmaking and painting from the University of Michigan, School of Art in Ann Arbor. She has been a life-long artist and won several grants early in her career, including a best-of-show for a 10 foot long lithograph, that enabled her to purchase her first printing press, which she then dragged around the country for twenty-odd years. Before launching Oehme Graphics in 2010, she held the title of Director/Vice President of Riverhouse Editions in Steamboat Springs, CO from 1996 – 2010.
