Great Workshop and Cleveland Print Fair!

David Russell, David Schaller, Linda Lowry, Deborah Freedman, and Master Printer Susan Oehme enjoy each others company and beautiful prints.
Our August Workshop at Oehme Graphics attracted a hardworking and lighthearted group of artists. We produced an enormous amount of work using solar plates, watercolors, and photography. David Russell traveled from Miami, Florida for his second workshop at Oehme Graphics. Steamboat local David Schaller, took a break from working with patients to work on prints. Linda Lowry is a watercolor and oil painter from Boulder with a curiosity to inform her colorful compositions with printmaking. Lastly, Deborah Freedman established a wonderful friendship between her studio in NYC, VanDeb Editions, and Oehme Graphics as she explored new printing possibilites.

Always inspired, David Schaller keeps his camera nearby. He made a variety of solar plates from his photographs in addition to creating textural studies with watercolor monoprints.

Master Printer Susan Oehme and Linda Lowry combine two watercolor monoprints and a solar plate. Linda explored layering prints as well as printing with just one, beautiful watercolor vellum.

David Russell created about ten solar plates and watercolor vellums. He layered them on top of one another with various colors and orientations as he made numerous compositional discoveries.
Master printer Susan Hover Oehme brought many prints from our workshop to the Cleveland Print Fair last weekend. We had a wonderful and successful trip for the Print Fair which was held for the first time in the Cleveland Art Museum and will definitely visit again next year (or sooner)! Thank you to everyone who visited our booth.
