Diana Cooper is an artist living and working in New York City. She received a BA from Harvard College in 1986, a certificate of Fine Arts from the New York Studio School and an MFA from Hunter College in 1997.

Cooper’s diverse work contains a sense of detailed, organized chaos that has been featured in recent solo exhibitions at galleries including Postmaster’s Gallery (New York, NY), Carl Berg Gallery (Los Angeles, CA), Numark Gallery (Washington, DC), and Museum of Contemporary Art Cleveland, OH. In addition to several her participation in several artist-in-residence programs around the world, Cooper also received the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Fellowship in 2000, The Rome Prize from the American Academy in Rome in 2003-04 and the Pollock- Krasner Foundation Grant in 2008. Additionally, her work is in the collection of the Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, Ohio.

In 2013, Diana Cooper completed a project at Oehme Graphics. Diligently perfecting an elaborate, large-scale marker and crayon drawing for many days, the detailed marks were then transferred onto several large solar plates. One print, Thin Air 1 measures at 26 ½’’ x 28’’ and explodes in colorful dotted tracks through velvety black space. An additional two 32 ½’’ x 26’’ prints, Thin Air 2 and Thin Air 3 , abstractly define a monochromatic space that explodes with uniquely detailed energy.
